Permeke SME Estate

Global Estate Group purchased the approx. 1.5 ha site in 2018 and is now redeveloping the dilapidated, old warehouses into a vibrant new business estate that can accommodate 24 companies. The site is located between Gistelsteenweg and Vlamingveld and is part of the Vlamingveld enterprise zone, an industrial zone for craft businesses and SMEs with a limited retail zone.

The SME estate comprises two shared office buildings with a total of 24 shell units. There are also 92 parking spaces, a bicycle storage facility, and charging stations.

The first building has 20 units with surface areas from 300 m² to 387 m² that are ideally suited as storage, workshop, or warehouse space. This building is accessible via the Vlamingveld side street.

The second building is located alongside the Gistelsteenweg, in a location with a beautiful view, and will comprise four units with an open storey and integrated showroom and/or office space. These units have surface areas of 466 m² to 483 m². 

Technical specifications

Each warehouse is equipped with an automatic sectional door, a polished concrete floor, and skylights with RWA. The clear height is 6 m. An individual connection to water, electricity and gas, and telephone and data cabling is provided, the buyer bears expenses for bringing in the pipes and the connection.

Construction of the four units on Gistelsteenweg started in September 2021. The current warehouses will be demolished in early 2022, after which the second business centre can be built. Completion is expected by the end of 2022.


The site, located at the exit of the E40 Jabbeke (direction Bruges) is extremely easily accessible. The E40/E403 interchange is only a 5-minute drive away.
